Hermitage was made by Fostoria in the 30’s and 40’s. A pattern made up of geometric shapes and verticle ribs, Hermitage came in several colors (blue, green, pink) and the more common crystal.

Fostoria made Heather in crystal. Another etched pattern that I don’t often see.

Fairfax is plain, elegant line of glassware made by Fostoria in blue, Light blue, amber, pink, green, topaz and a few other rare colors. It is a blank pattern on which Fostoria produced many different etchings. Many chioces of stemware are found from a small cordial to a large 10 ounce water.

Colony, made by Fostoria was originally made in crystal but some colors (green, amber, white, blue and red) were made in the 1980’s. A heavy look and feel kept this line running until the 1970’s. Stems and tumblers and many dinner pieces were available. It has a solid following of collectors.

Fostoria’s Chintz is a very popular pattern with collectors and the prices it demands shows it. Chintz is found on the Baroque blank. Fostoria number 2496. An elegant style it is found only in crystal. Stemware is among the easier items to find. Serving pieces are more difficult and expensive to find.

Century was made Fostoria in crystal only. A plain modern style line with a molded wave to the edge. Lots of different stems and dinner items can make a nice complete dinner setting.

Fostoria Candlelight
Fostoria Candlelight was made in the ’40’s and ’50’s in crystal, and gold trimmed crystal (Crown Tuscan). There are tumblers and stemware pieces for the collector. The gold trimmed items are very nice but watch out for wear.

Fostoria Buttercup
Fostoria Buttercup is a wonderful etched pattern. Fostoria listed as etching #340. It was made in cyrstal and several different stems were available. It’s classic design with a formal look and feel.

Fostoria Baroque
Baroque was manufactured by the Fostoria Glass Company from 1933 untill 1966. It came in crystal, blue, yellow, green, pink, red, cobalt blue and amethyst. Tumblers were made in the footed and non footed styles. The footed ones are easier to find. The candlesticks make a nice accent with the tableware. These are usually found in crystal.

Fostoria American was manufactured from 1915 untill 1986. A very long run indeed. There are dozens of pieces that were produced in many different colors including pink, blue and red. Most collectors are looking for cyrstal as there is a lot of it around to complete a set. There are no less than 18 different goblets and 13 different tumblers to chose from.
A note about a similar pattern, Cubist was made by the Jeanette Glass Company and could be confused with American.
