Vesper by Fostoria had a fairly short production run from 1926 until 1934-35. Vesper is another Fostoria pattern that did not come in crystal. Vesper was produced in blue, green and amber. Like many other elegant glass patterns amber is the most commonly found (next to crystal of course).

Fostoria introduced Versailles in 1928 and production continued up to 1944. Many colors were made including amber, blue, green and pink.  Unlike many other Fostoria patterns I am not aware of Versailles being made in crystal. There were colored stems made from 1931-194 that featured crystal bases.

Fostoria made this  little known pattern in the the late 1920’s. It’s a highly decorative, rich pattern consisting of oak leaves or grapes.  Brocade came in many colors including blue, pink,  green and crystal.  The blue seems to be the most popular and expensive color in this pattern. It may take you a while to complete a set due to it’s limited availability.

Trojan was made by Fostoria from 1930 until 1945. A leaf that resembles a Trojan warrior’s spear is the main theme of the etching on this pattern. Made in yellow and pink Trojan has been gaining in popularity recently. It’s a fairly high priced pattern to collect.

Made from 1926 until 1931 Fostoria Seville came in both amber and green. A characteristic rosette with bookmarked leaves is the main theme of this pattern. Seville is another pattern that is affordable for a beginning collector. A few items are pricey but all in all a complete set can be had. The butter dish and cover as well as the pitcher will probably set you back the most. Most of the other items can be has for less than twenty five dollars each piece and many for around ten dollars each.

Manufactured in black, blue, green and amber the Fostoria glass company produced the Royal pattern from 1925 until 1932. It’s a simple but interesting pattern. Unlike many other Fostoria patterns it was not made in crystal.

Romance was made by the Fostoria Glass Company from the early 1940’s until the mid 1980’s.  It was only made in crystal. It’s a simple etched pattern with bows and flowers.  A large bow features prominently in the design. It’s a mid range price pattern , it’s single color choice makes it easier to complete a set. As with most patterns the pitcher, ice tub and candy dish are the pieces you’ll expect to pay the most for.

The Fostoria Glass Company manufactured pressed, blown and hand molded glassware and tableware for almost 90 years. It began operations in Fostoria, Ohio, USA on December 15, 1887 at South Vine Street, near Railroad, on free land donated by the townspeople. But when natural resources declined in Fostoria, the company moved to Moundsville, West Virginia in 1891.
